Since the beginning, the Williamson County Fair has been rooted in local agriculture. Many of our founding members, volunteers, vendors and fairgoers have ties to the agriculture community that span generations. We’re proud of our legacy and are committed to preserving it for generations to come.
For the 22nd annual Williamson County Fair, our mission remains the same: promote local agriculture and agriculture education through exhibits, events, hands-on demonstrations and competitions.
To reflect that commitment, all 2026 livestock shows will follow an open-class format for both juniors (18 and under) and adults, creating expanded opportunities for participation from residents across the state, including 4-H members, FFA members and all others interested in livestock shows.
By broadening participation, we hope to make our livestock shows more welcoming and accessible while continuing to reflect the values of Williamson County. Whether participants are experienced exhibitors looking to refine their skills or first-time competitors eager to learn, everyone will have an equal opportunity to compete for awards and prize money.
More importantly, we hope this expanded format encourages participants to learn from one another, share their knowledge, celebrate the importance of agriculture and inspire the next generation of agricultural leaders. Education, community and preserving our agricultural heritage remain at the heart of every decision we make, including the move to an open-class livestock show format.
