Hometown Heroes

EVERY HOMETOWN HAS A FAVORITE VETERAN STORY; WE WANT TO HEAR ABOUT YOURS!

The Williamson County Fair is searching for veterans who have been inspirational to others. These acts could include family, businesses, churches, schools, community, or our country in a way to make them better and improve the lives of those around them.

Nominate a past or current member of the military whose achievements and/or service to the community has gone without notice.

July 10, 2026 - Deadline for Nominations

August 15, 2026 - Awards ceremony at 10:30 am on the Nissan Stage

Requirements for Nomination

Nominees must have served between 1940 - Present
Nominees must still be living
Nominee must live within Williamson County
Nominees must be able to attend the ceremony on Saturday, August 15 at 10:30 am on the Nissan Stage at the Fair

Colonel Greg Hoover, U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Enforcement Specialist Chris Hyder, U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Jimmy King, U.S. Navy Lieutenant Bob Ravener, U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Randall Rohrer, U.S. Air Force Airman First Class Ron Tapscott, U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant Franklin D. Wilson and TN Air National Guard Lieutenant Colonel, Ben J. Welch, III.
