The mission of Middle Tennessee Electric is to provide
affordable, reliable, safe electricity, and outstanding member service. A key component of that mission is safety, and it’s something MTE takes very seriously. With thousands of miles of electric line in four counties, we make it a priority to educate the communities we serve about power line safety.
As part of their commitment to safety, MTE has created a hotline safety demonstration trailer. This 45-minute educational demonstration is taught and performed by certified MTE linemen. They show how to avoid the dangers of objects coming in contact with energized lines, improperly connected generators, electrical arc flashes, as well as other hazardous situations like simulated car accidents.
Energy Hub
Middle Tennessee Electric will feature their energy hub which will allow fair patrons a chance to walk through and interactively watch and learn more about electricity.
Located on the Arena Floor.
