The Mobile Dairy Classrooms (MDC) are part of a dynamic educational program presented by the Southwest Dairy Museum, Inc.
The 32-foot classroom features a fully operational milking parlor, and carries a live cow, milking equipment, and has a highly-trained instructor for each presentation.
You will walk away with a basic knowledge of dairy farm practices to include the farmer, their animals, milk production and processing, and the value of dairy foods in a healthy, well-balanced diet. Learn the characteristics and anatomy of dairy cows, the modern milking process, animal care practices, and food safety practices on a dairy farm.
You're sure to enjoy this educational program relating to math, science, health/nutrition, sanitation, and food safety.
