Instead of conducting the annual Williamson County Fair Pageants on the Main Stage at the fair, this year pageant contestants will have the opportunity to compete at the new Performing Arts Center at Academy Park, the home of the former Battle Ground Academy campus.
In addition to the new venue, the Williamson County Fair will be awarding a $250 savings bond, crown and sash to each new titleholder in the Petite Miss, Little Miss, Junior Miss, Teen Miss, and Fairest of the Fair contests. The baby contestants/winners will not be eligible for the savings bond.
Every contestant will be required to attend a modeling workshop, Saturday, August 5th, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The 2017 Williamson County Fair Pageants will be held on Sunday, August 6th, at Academy Park (112 Everbright Avenue, Franklin), in the Performing Arts Center.
Pageant Chairman, Suzanne Ware stated, “We are so excited to partner with the Williamson County Parks & Recreation Department to utilize this new venue which provides contestants with professional staging, lighting and dressing rooms.”
Contestants will submit a $25 competitive entry fee, along with their application, which must be delivered to the Fair Office (4215 Long Lane) on or before Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017. Application and entry fee can also be mailed to the address on the entry form, but must be postmarked on or before August 2nd. The run of show on Sunday, August 6th, 2017, will go as follows:
