All will take place in the Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Rd., Suite 903
Final Competition: Tuesday, August 9 – 6:00 p.m. (Main Stage in the Fair arena)
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Contest is open to residents of Tennessee and adjoining states.
2. Contestants will sing one song, accompanied by track on CD, not totaling more than 4 minutes.
3. Preliminary Competitions will be ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, Monday, August 1; MIDDLE SCHOOL, Tuesday, August 2; HIGH SCHOOL, Wednesday, August 3. (Preliminaries will be limited to 40 contestants in each category.)
4. Final Competition will be Tuesday, August 90, at 6:00 p.m. at the Ag Expo Park, Main Stage/Arena, Williamson County Fair, 4215 Long Lane, Franklin, Tennessee.
5. Acceptance is non-transferable. Due to limited time, only those with prior acceptance at the Preliminary Auditions will be allowed to perform at the final competition on Tuesday, August 9 during the Williamson County Fair. Up to 15 contestants in each category from the preliminary competitions will move to the final competition.
6. On August 9, there will be 3 winners in each category: Elementary School (K-5), Middle School (6-8) and High School (9-12). One Grand Prize Overall Winner will be named from the three first place winners.
7. Entry fee is $25 and due in office with application by Friday, July 29, 2011. You can bring application on deadline, July 29, 2011, to a physical address by calling 394-1135.
8. Entry forms are available at www.williamsoncountyfair.org or may be picked up at the UT Extension Office at Ag Expo Park. Mail application with $25 entry to Williamson County Fair Association, Inc., P.O. Box 329, Franklin, TN 37065.
9. Sportsmanship and manners are required of all contestants.
10. Time allowed for each act is 4 minutes or less.
11. “Sing Your Heart Out” is a family-friendly show.
12. Performers must provide their own personnel to assist in bring on props and/or setting up if necessary. Accompaniment is CD track only.
13. Judges will be Nashville Music Industry Professionals.
